A DVD Cloner Application.
WinX DVD Copy Pro is a DVD cloning program capable of performing many of the tasks you'd expect in such a program. More specifically, this WinX utility will scan your computer for a DVD drive, check the contents of that DVD and then display information about the DVD, along with functions to extract the data and save it either to another DVD disc (if available) OR an ISO image, probably the most used option.
As the PC we're testing this only has one DVD burner at the moment, we decided to take the second route and create an ISO backup of the DVD we're testing. DVD Copy Pro comes with a few default options checked, namely removal of DVD region codes, removal of CSS encryption, removal of UOPs and "Check Disney's fake". The last we assume is Disney's version of copy protection. Note that removal of copy protection may be illegal in some areas.
That is what we've checked out under "Full DVD Disc Backup". The next tools are "DVD Title Backup" and "Tools". The Title backup feature gives you the option to copy only certain parts of the DVD like certain chapters, audio or video tracks or copying the DVD to a single MPEG2 file. The MPEG2 copy tool is useful if you'd prefer to backup your DVD to a file playable on programs like Zoom Player or Windows Media Player.
Finally, WinX DVD Copy Pro provides a couple of extra useful tools as kind-of standalones. The ISO mounter functions much like that of DAEMON Tools and allows you to mount a virtual DVD drive from an ISO image. The next tool is a DVD burning utility which can burn your ripped ISO images to a brand new disc, useful with the main function of this program (cloning a DVD) if you've only got one DVD drive and you'd like to burn the backed up image as a new DVD. The DVD burning tool worked like a charm and we have no complaints in that department.
Compatibility and License
This download is licensed as shareware for the Windows operating system from disc utilities and can be used as a free trial until the trial period ends (after an unspecified number of days). The WinX DVD Copy Pro 3.9.1 demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions and is not necessarily the full version of this software.
What version of Windows can WinX DVD Copy Pro run on?
WinX DVD Copy Pro can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
